Treatments

Traditional Chinese Medicine does not treat a disease, but rather the disharmonious energy pattern that causes that disease. Health, for Traditional Chinese Medicine, is the result of the balance between Yin and Yang. When these are out of balance, the disease process occurs. So the disease doesn't appear overnight. It is the result of a succession of stressful experiences, accompanied by a weakness in the protection mechanism. (Maciocia, 1996)

Dami Acupunctuur & Welzijn works by restoring the body's energy balance. As a result, your complaints may diminish or even disappear. See which treatment below is best for you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient technique, originated in China, where the acupuncturist applies stimuli to specific points of the body, aimed at improving immunity, treating emotional problems and symptoms of physical illness.

Acupuncture techniques are based on the concept that our body is composed of energy channels, called Meridians. If the flow of energy in these channels is blocked, there will be inflammation in the body, or pain, or even emotional complaints.

Auriculoterapy

Auriculotherapy is a therapeutic technique, originated in France and perfected in China, in which certain strategic points of the ear are stimulated, with the objective of generating positive effects on the body, such as pain relief, treating physical and psychological problems. These dots represent locations throughout the body, based on the image of a baby in a fetal position, upside down.

To stimulate the points, very small and fine needles, mustard seeds, magnets (magnets), fingertip massages, and even radionic crystals are used.

Aroma therapie

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy complements other therapies, both conventional and complementary (today called integrative care), which seek to cure their patients.

In more direct terms, Aromatherapy shows that there are links between smell and feelings. When inhaling aromas, the olfactory channels send the message directly to the Limbic System, which is the part of the Central Nervous System responsible for emotions. After identifying the smell, the brain reacts to the aromatic properties, changing the mood, the mood of someone or even reaching emotional pain.

Acupressure

Known as an alternative therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupressure is a type of massage increasingly studied and used in the world. The technique consists of massaging points or path of Acupuncture meridians in the body, which generate reflexes to pain, stress, tension, anxiety, among others.

By Traditional Chinese Medicine, it unblocks the channels and Acupuncture points, causing the Qi ("energy") to circulate freely throughout the body, restoring the functioning of the body, promoting "self healing".

Your first appointment?

During the first visit (approximately 2 hours), we will conduct an assessment where we will discuss your main health concerns, review your health history, answer questions, and give you your first treatment.

Bij Dami’s Acupunctuur & Welzijn maken wij tijdens het eerste consult altijd een tonganalyse. De observatie van de tong is een van de belangrijkste onderdelen van de Chinese diagnostiek.

During a tongue analysis, we can evaluate changes in color, shape, movement and coating lingual. This allows the Acupuncturist to observe changes in the body so that the treatment can be adjusted according to what was evaluated.

Therefore, we ask that you consume colorful food and beverages up to 2 hours before your appointment. This may affect the results of the tongue analysis. Water consumption is allowed.
